About Bryan

My name is Bryan Person; welcome to the place where I write and talk all about being a Connected Worker.

Here is a little more about me:

I am passionate about new media, and am an unabashed advocate for the use of blogs, podcasts, wikis, and social networks empower by businesses to develop and strengthen genuine conversations with their customers.

I am already a blogger. Bryper.com is where I write about the latest developments in the social media space.

I am also a podcaster. New Comm Road is a twice-monthly program where I focus on how to use the latest and greatest tools of new media for effective business communication.

I enjoy bringing together talented and creative people. I am an organizer for PodCamp Boston, a free unconference for podcasters and new-media enthusiasts, and I jumpstarted the first-ever CaseCamp Second Life in December 2006. You’ll also find me putting out the call to the Boston-area social media crowd for impromptu meetups every now and again.

I am a presenter, and I’ve led talks at unconferences in the United States and Canada on these topics:

  • Business blogging and podcasting
  • Second Life
  • Twitter
  • Managing your social media

By day, I am a content producer for Monster.com. I create and edit online articles, podcasts, and blog posts that help people to find a job, start a new career, and understand life in the workplace.

On the personal side, I enjoy learning languages. I speak fluent Spanish and coversational Portuguese, and I know bits and pieces of French, Swahili, and Tetum (the national language of East Timor). I have a wife and daughter from Kenya, and a beautiful baby boy born in October 2006. We live in the Boston area.
